Kate turns 4, and that makes all the difference

There are those who think having a Birthday in December is dreadful.  Especially in the same week as Christmas!  But, around here, we take the time to plan and have a special party with out much trouble!  How bad can it be to share the Party week with Jesus anyhow?  Here are the photos of Katelynn's 4th, a little bit late, but still great!

Sometimes it snows here

One Sunday we woke up to find it snowing!  The girls ran out to enjoy it, and have a winter photo opp!

Yes, even sisters can be as different as snow flakes!  Way to catch Katie!

It did get deeper, but it didn't stay long!  Winter in Southern Oregon can be fickle.

Anna's first crazy hair day at school!

Daniel put the pics from his cell in the computer...

I just discovered this amazing array of old photos Dan took with his "camera phone"!  They are both cute and funny, as well as an insight into his relationship with the kids!

The girls playing in the drive way, under the shade of the car port.

Teaching the children work ethic I see......

Anna is a bit blurry since she hadn't yet learned to stand still to have her picture taken .

This was when we went to the Circus.  Katie didn't enjoy it as much as Anna did.

But, at least the baby bear didn't gerp on her like it did on me.

Daniel made a habit one summer of taking the girls on long walks during which they got a Popsicle break.

It can get pretty hot here, so though I enjoyed the break, I think their faces say it all!

Yup, they look hot, and tired.  But, they slept good!

Now, these are here for all the world to see!  I hope you enjoyed the journey as much as I did!

Oh, and one more.  This is when you know for sure that your toddler has had enough!

What cute kids

I get to hear a lot about how cute my kids are.  What big eyes they have, or what pretty lips, or even how much they look like me.  I love all the positive feed back, because they are the embodiment of my life's work.  Every breath, every day, every thing I do goes back to my roll as their mother.  So, though these are not current photo's here I am celebrating my cute kids!

And Ben, well He's just a charmer!

Yeah, I guess you could say I am pretty pleased with my work!

Somewhere, someone knows how to make me a pair of these...

It is silly, I know.  But, aren't they soooo elegant!!!!  I have a birthday coming up.......   Okay, enough silliness, I just thought they looked nice and wanted to share!

Out of the mouths of babes

Katie just snuggled up beside me and asked me, "Mommy, do you love me"?  I said yes that I did, and then I asked her why she was asking me that.  She said she thought I didn't love her?  I said why would you think that, and she responded with the wisdom that all little kids posses:  "You didn't tell me that you loved me today"!  Always remember to say the things that are in your heart, because without the words they will never be heard!

Balloon Ride

clock May 25, 2009 07:38 by author Georgie

We woke up early Memorial Day to the sound of a hot air balloon going over the school down the block.  The girls threw on their clothes and I ran them to see it land!  It missed the school grounds because of a breeze and landed 2 blocks away.  We got out of the car and began taking pictures.  Then the owners asked if the girls would like a ride!  Well, yeah!!!  So in they climbed and road around the corner (about 3 feet of the ground) to the spot they wanted to lay out the balloon to roll it up!  They had a whole crew of people holding the tether and walking the basket down the road to get it where they wanted to so the girls were perfectly safe.  No other kids came out to look the entire time we were there! My Anna and Katie were the only "early birds" who caught this "worm" (or balloon ride)!  Anna couldn't wait to go to school and tell all her friends!  They also gave the girls a collectors/business card to keep!  What a way to start the day!

Anna's lovely pictures

This is my Anna!  Look at that face.  Nothing gets past this girl, and there is nothing she puts her mind to that she can's do!

She makes friends everywhere she goes, and her big blue eyes and big smile get her lots of compliments!  She is a great helper,

and the best big sister ever!  Anna, we love you!
